I know what girls like, I know what girls want!

Yeah, a girl just wants a new bike!  Rather the Sturdy Bitch Racing team wants new bikes!  Fortunately we have just the sponsor to make us happy!

On Monday we picked up our new 2011 Diamondback  Sortie Blacks and we couldn't be happier!  These bikes are tricked out with full XTR everything, Knucklebox Suspension, Fox Float 32 forks, and this set happens to have Mavic Crossmax SLRs vs. the stock XTR wheel set.  Stock setup has XTR wheels but we just couldn't wait.  Movie quote 'But I want it NOW Daddy!"...

When I went to Diamondback HQ in Kent, WA to pick them up I was just giddy, there were 7 big old boxes sitting on a pallet and frankly, I just wanted to open 'em up and root around in 'em.  Marketing Manager Jon Kennedy gave me a little peek, then we loaded them up in the truck so I could high tail it outta there and distribute to the girls.

Think everyone else was as giddy as I and the bikes got sent on their way to our shop sponsorBig Tree Bikes, various home garages, and to my buddy Matt to be put together.  By Wednesday, all the bikes were put together and ready to ride.   As they were built we saw teaser pictures on Facebook, then proud new owner photos posted, and now we're headed out on Saturday morning to check them out on the trails.

We are super-thrilled with them and can't thank Diamondback Bikes enough for sponsoring our rag tag little band of "Bitches" as we embark on the 2011 season.  We know how good we have it and how amazing their support of women in mountain biking is so we really just have to say thanks again.  Really want to pull a "Wayne's World" reference out and say "we're not worthy, we're not worthy!", but we'll do our damnedest to be just that.

Look out world, we'll be working our butts off to well represent Diamondback.  Might not always be with 1st place gold medals in our little local races, but it will be with pride, respect, sportsmanship and honor.  We truly appreciate what we have, we love our bikes, and we are proud to represent Diamondback again in 2011.

Angela, our lone pro-rider had picked up her bike earlier.  She decided to go super-D crazy with her bike selection and she'll be rockin' the Diamondback Mission this year.  Full Suspension of course,  a little burlier than the Sortie, Hammerschmidt gearing,  and a little more travel.  Just  great for Super Ds and "light" DH.

Check out the pics for a sneak peak at the 2011 Diamondback Sortie Black.  We think they're pretty damn bitchin'!!

See ya on the trails soon - if you like the bike, stop us and check them out!  We're always happy to let you demo and see what you're missing.  To buy locally, check Alpine Hut on Queen Anne, they're a proud dealer of Diamondback Bikes so Git it!!
